Rockne & Jones is a dramatic, feature length adaptation of the events surrounding the origins of the football rivalry between Notre Dame and the University of Southern California. The possibilities after the theatrical run are obvious. Two different networks carry the game, on an alternating basis, so the cross promotion of the film and that year's game would be a huge boon to both. DVD sales for years to come are assured as long as the rivalry continues. With the unprecedented success of the USC Trojans, and the promise of a resurgent Notre Dame team, now is the time for the story of how it all began to be told to a new generation of football fans.

Both historical accuracy and the dramatic impact were top priorities in writing the script. Research included numerous books on the rivalry and the history of the teams, two biographies of Knute Rockne, contemporary magazine and newspaper

articles, obituaries, and game films from the Notre Dame archives. A member of USC's 1939 National Championship team was a consultant, providing vivid memories of Howard Jones, the Trojan system and what it was like to travel to South Bend and face Notre Dame.

Story aspects designed to appeal to a wider audience include romantic interests, family relationships, Golden Era movie stars, and numerous human moments both on and off the field. Strong female characters round out the cast of characters and add nuanced counterpoints to the violent action on the field.

Fourth Down Films is actively seeking a qualified production company to partner with in bringing this story to the screen. Both universities have reacted favorably to the project. Rockne & Jones The Movie is a can't miss opportunity. Find out how to be part of the team today!
